When wood is growing, huge amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere are absorbed by day, and clean oxygen released overnight. The carbon dioxide remains 'locked up' in the timber until it is burnt or returns to the natural cycle. Our timber is locally grown in the Llyn Peninsula reducing our carbon footprint. The use of timber stimulates the forestry trade which responds by planting more trees. |

Timber cladding is an increasingly popular choice for finishing the outside of commercial and domestic buildings. Otherwise known as weatherboarding or siding, timber cladding is an attractive and economical way to finish the exterior of both new and old buildings. Woods such as larch and western red cedar provide a hardwearing, protective layer against the elements and they are excellent insulators. Waney-edge cladding is a very traditional style of cladding created by overlapping boards sliced straight from the tree. Each board has one waney edge (with bark on) and one square edge. Feather-edge boards are formed by sawing a rectangular section at an angle, resulting in two sections tapered across the width.
Feather-edge boards are laid horizontally, with a vertical overlap of approximately 25mm for boards up to 150mm, and 40mm for boards wider than 150mm. We specialise in the production and instalation of Roofing Shingles, Waney Edge and Feather Edge Cladding.
